Silent Films!

Gotta share this: I recently found a book from 1973 on Lillian and Dorothy Gish, mostly with pictures but some text (by Lillian Gish), AUTOGRAPHED BY LILLIAN GISH to some woman named Rita for the bargain price of $25. I look at it every day and am amazed at my fortune.

Either you love 'em or you hate 'em...but I love 'em! I have been infatuated with silent films since 1984. That Christmas my parents got a videocassette of Lon Chaney's Phantom of the Opera from my great-aunt and uncle. I watched it during Christmas break when my parents were gone--they had warned me not to watch it because they thought I would get too scared (I was 10 at the time). I laughed that off, and sat down to watch it. There was no musical soundtrack and the print was poor in places...but I was transfixed...and scared! Anyway, if you're interested in learning more...follow these links!
