I have gone from "I'd love some pizza right about now" to the Bottomless Pit: EVERYTHING sounds good. I about licked the TV screen after seeing a Bennigan's ad last night. I had a snack of chips and guacamole at 9:30 yesterday morning. And I'm still only at 127#, and that's an evening weigh.

My next drs. appt. is tomorrow afternoon - the fun day o'testing. Gee, I can't wait. [/sarcasm]

...that this baby takes after me in the movement department. It feels like a tapeworm on crack. It is pretty darn cool, though! I can't wait until it's large enough so Adam can feel it moving, too.

Aside from the fact that I was sick all weekend, and am still harboring the snotty effects, my OB appt. went well today. This was a small appt. - just checking the baby's heartbeat (fine, and s/he's hanging out on my left side; I guess the scenery's better there), all my tests were normal, and I go back in four weeks for the long, fun tests. Ugh.

Well, this weekend I caved. Bought some maternity clothes. None of my "thin" pants fit anymore at all...well, unless I want to not zip them very far! So, it's to my "fat" pants, and now some maternity pants that will grow with me as my belly grows. But it's cool, though. Hey, as Adam says, I asked for it! :-)

first OB appointment!

Yesterday was my first OB appointment. I got a lot of information thrown at me, both verbally and in pamphlet form - yipe! :-) But it was all good...

The best part was the ultrasound - Adam was there, too, and he wasn't expecting to see anything beyond some sort of unidentifiable blob. But this is what we saw... and it was COOL! This kid was flailing its arms and legs like nobody's business. The heartbeat looked and sounded strong. What was weird was knowing that it was moving that much, yet it's still too small for me to feel anything. But that will change in a couple weeks. The coolest part was seeing Adam's face when we were watching the ultrasound - he was beaming!!! I was laughing I thought it was so cool, and making the image jiggle. So as of yesterday, I was right on the money, 10 weeks, 2 days, due date 10/21 - my dad's birthday!

Three days ago, I was getting nauseous. Now, it seems I just get suddenly and ravenously hungry at the drop of a hat. Here's where the fun begins. Adam will take a baseline belly pic tonight; not sure how "baseline" it will be since he noticed my belly getting bigger this morning. I shall weigh myself tomorrow morning. Last week I was 119.5.

I haven't felt any morning (or afternoon, or whenever) sickness in the past couple days. Interesting... could that phase already be over? *crossing fingers*

As of right now:
* I'm gassier than I'd like to be under normal circumstances.
* The aforementioned gas is causing bloating, which frankly isn't attractive. I'd like to enjoy my waistline as long as possible.
* I need my Sudafed PE and Benadryl, darnit! Does the baby not want me to breathe? My PCP said they were okay to take, but we shall see what the OB says on Tuesday the 28th at 12:45.
* My latest obsession: Breyer's Vanilla Ice Cream with plenty of strawberries and bananas on it. YUM!
* I don't like this "pulling" thing. Ugh. It feels like there's something nudging at my uterus. Gee, I wonder why...
* TMI alert: I'm more, shall we say, horny lately, yet my cervix has already softened somewhat, so Adam's had to be extra careful. (I'm sure the kid will *love* to read that several years down the road! "Oh my God - my parents had SEX?!?!? More than once?!?!?!?")

Also just found out one of my Choral-Aire buddies, Cathy, is also expecting, about 5 weeks before I am, and I've also told the people on H.net, and everyone there's so happy and supportive. I think I'm due just a couple weeks after Lauren. It's cool to have someone else to go through this with.

Went to my PCP, Dr. Steslow, yesterday, and it's official: due date 10/20!!! Now I need to figure out which OBs on the list he gave me are in-network...

Last night Adam was eating peanut butter Ritz Bits and offered me some. The smell was HORRIBLE! That really, really sucks because I love peanut butter - great source of protein. Ugh.
